Suffering affects and impacts us in such a way that our physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual selves are affected, raising and posing important questions.
The book of Job speaks about human suffering. In it, we find Job facing these questions, suffering both physically and emotionally; accompanied by friends who, with their best intentions, worsen the situation; and, above all and because of all the above, Job is struggling with his faith in God. The book of Job has the power to understand the human condition and connect with our own needs. Written with great realism, this book offers the great comfort of knowing that someone else has gone through the same thing.
A very useful book for those involved in pastoral and counseling ministry.
