Many of these women were ordinary, in some cases, of very humble or questionable social extraction. However, they became extraordinary because of the changes in their lives after encountering God. Celebrated for their courage, vision, hospitality, and spiritual gifts, it is not strange that they were so important to God's Plan revealed in the Old and New Testaments. But it was not their natural qualities that made these women extraordinary, but the power of the one true God whom they worshipped and served.
