Biblical and Doctrinal Answers to Jehovah's Witnesses

This is not a new work, but a revised and expanded re-edition of a classic that, under the title of "Proceso a la “biblia” de los Testigos de Jehová" (Prosecution of the "bible" of Jehovah's Witnesses), was an unquestioned bestseller throughout the years 1970-1985, with five print editions and constant popular demand. This has finally convinced the author and CLIE Publishing House of the convenience of revising it and making it available to the market again.

A controversial work that clearly denounces how the leaders of the so-called "Jehovah's Witnesses" have brazenly manipulated and falsified the translation of the biblical text in their Bible version known as the “New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures,” with the premeditated purpose of being able to demonstrate to their followers and other unsuspecting people, to whom they proselytize, that their doctrines are supported by Holy Scripture. When the stark reality is that neither based on the original Hebrew-Greek text, nor on any other translation of it carried out to date (be it Protestant, Catholic, or Orthodox), their theories hold up in any way.

It is one of the most successful books in opening the eyes of many honest and sincere Jehovah's Witnesses; and, given the solidity of its arguments, it has caused the group's leaders more headaches. Nevertheless, despite being a controversial book, its approach is not aggressive but exclusively hermeneutic-scientific, as one of them well recognizes in a letter to the author: "I must confess that it is the best book I have read on the subject... you make a very profound study regarding the divinity of Christ, and it is truly very good due to its solid foundation. I have always believed that there is no Trinity, and that Christ is not Jehovah, but simply a subordinate son of God. However, your arguments have made me doubt, and although it is still difficult for me to renounce my previous belief, I will continue to study your work repeatedly."

Although it mainly focuses on the philological and hermeneutic debate regarding the divinity of Christ and the doctrine of the Trinity, to which the author dedicates more than half of the work, it also analyzes the rest of the doctrinal points in which "Jehovah's Witnesses" deviate from traditional Christian doctrines such as: The bodily resurrection of Christ, the Holy Spirit, soul and spirit, the prohibition of blood, the 144,000 sealed, cross or stake?, annihilation or eternal punishment, etc., etc.

The new, completely revised edition is enriched with two important appendices in which the author responds to objections raised in correspondence with Jehovah's Witnesses over recent years, especially on the topic of the survival of the soul and the condition of the dead.

Undoubtedly the best, most scientific, and best-documented tool available to those who, for one reason or another: family, professional, ministerial, or evangelistic, find themselves in the need to relate to and debate with the self-proclaimed "Christian Jehovah's Witnesses."
