One of the biggest challenges facing the church in the twenty-first century is learning to discern among the many supposed versions of the gospel circulating in our midst. This challenge is not new; John already said: “Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God” 1 John 4:1. Justo L. González, with his usual clarity, erudition, and simplicity, presents a series of biblical and theological principles to distinguish between error and sound doctrine.
