Does Science find God?

Throughout the 20th century, science has made spectacular discoveries. And all of them converge at one point: the need to resort to the idea of intelligent design to explain the increasing complexity of the universe.

Physics has shown that the cosmos had a beginning, that the universe is much larger, more complex, and more wonderful than initially suspected.

Biology, by unraveling the mysteries of the gene and irreducibly complex mechanisms, has called into question evolutionary development through random mutations. The origin of life remains inexplicable without resorting to intelligent design.

Neurology, by investigating the behavior of the human brain in relation to spirituality, is discovering that Sigmund Freud's conclusions, in asserting that religion is a delusion, were hasty and reductionist. The brain, viewed as a simple computer detached from all transcendent elements, does not fit when it comes to explaining the complexity and peculiarity of human consciousness.

Things have changed so much that the process has been reversed. Formerly, Christian apologists had to strive to argue for the existence of a Creator; today, some atheist scientists are frantically researching, trying to remove Him from the scene. A few years ago, believing in God required a leap of faith; now, it increasingly takes more faith to continue denying His existence.
