Without a doubt, among all the commentaries written by John Calvin, this Harmony of the last four books of the Pentateuch deserves special recognition for the ingenuity displayed within it. Calvin shows great understanding and originality in combining and organizing this portion of the Scriptures as he did, in order to present its content simply and consistently. His goal was not merely to organize the facts, but to systematize its teaching and present the revelation of the just, good, and holy Law in a complete and harmonious way.
