None of us can escape our ruined world. We are sinful and wounded people surrounded by other sinful and wounded people in a universe that groans under the curse of sin. The reality of physical and sexual abuse in our world provides glaring and painful proof of its ruin. What does the gospel have to say to us if we find ourselves confronted with such evil? How can we serve those who have suffered different types of mistreatment?
