To All Generations

To Every Generation is a general study of Church history. It does not seek the roots of any particular denomination, nor does it recount its history. Instead, this text is offered to churches as an aid to teach believers the fullness of faith and prepare them for a mature ministry as participants in Christ's body of servants.

For sincere believers, studying the history of the Christian church is valuable. It is a good opportunity for us to look at the history of God's people. We need to remember the long line of our fellow pilgrims who lived in past ages. We must see the faith that sustained these believing brothers and sisters throughout their lives, based on a deep trust in the Lord, who promised never to abandon his church.

To Every Generation had to be very selective. It has focused on the history of the Western church, especially the churches of the Reformation. The selections in this work were made with the objective that the reader would be able to identify and evaluate the events, movements, and historical figures that have been crucial for the preservation and development of Christ's church.

Note: the author of this book holds questionable positions. Even so, due to the amount of data offered, we believe the book has its value (Ed. Peregrino).
